În timp ce Marea Britanie se luptă cu crizele alimentară, de combustibili și de forță de muncă, premierul Boris Johnson promite schimbarea. El a admis în faţa congresului formaţiunii sale, Partidul Conservator, că schimbarea pentru care a optat Marea Britanie prin ieşirea din Uniunea Europeană „va fi dificilă şi de durată”. Johnson a apreciat însă că decizia în favoarea Brexitului va duce ţara către un viitor mai bun. Imaginile cu rafturile goale din supermarketurile din Marea Britanie contrazic optimismul lui și descriu amploarea acestor crize, scrie Digi24.ro.
Marea Britanie s-a confruntat cu o lipsă de angajați în unele sectoare cheie, ceea ce a dus la blocaje ale livrării de combustibil și alimente, care i-au afectat pe consumatorii britanici.
Boris Johnson a vorbit despre planurile pentru ca în Marea Britanie să fie salarii mai mari, pregătire mai bună, economie performantă și productivitate crescută.
„Nu vom reveni la modelul vechi şi perimat al salariilor mici şi productivităţii reduse. Răspunsul nu este să revenim la imigraţia necontrolată pentru a menţine salariile mici, ci la controlarea imigraţiei şi la a nu o folosi drept scuză pentru a nu investi în forţa de muncă, în instalaţii şi echipamente”, a promis Johnson.
El a făcut astfel referire la criza severă de aprovizionare în Marea Britanie – în special cu combustibili – provocată de forţa de muncă insuficientă în anumite domenii.
Marea Britanie se îndreaptă „către o economie cu salarii mari, competenţe ridicate, productivitate ridicată şi fiscalitate redusă”, a insistat şeful executivului de la Londra, atrăgând însă atenţia că tot acest proces necesită timp şi va fi dificil.
Pentru aceasta au votat britanicii la referendumul privind Brexitul în 2016, apoi în 2019 când la alegerile legislative au dat Partidului Conservator o largă majoritate pe care acesta nu a mai avut-o din anii ’80, a mai spus Johnson în discursul prin care a încercat să inspire încredere în contextul actualei crize post-Brexit.
Discursul vine într-un moment dificil pentru Boris Johnson, Marea Britanie confruntându-se cu probleme mari privind livrarea de combustibil în ultimele săptămâni. Avertismentele din industrie sunt că aprovizionarea cu alimente ar putea fi afectată în perioada de dinainte de Crăciun. Criza se datorează în principal situației critice de pe piața muncii în ceea ce privește lipsa șoferilor de camioane și angajați străini, problemele fiind agravate de pandemia Covid și de Brexit, dar și de salariile mici și condițiile de muncă.
